John McReynolds For as long as anyone can remember, SARC has held our Field Day operation at the Sullivan City Lake and it has served us well.
There is talk of having a change of location for this year’s event. One possibility is that of the pavilion at Hickory Ridge at Meramec State Park. It is $45/day to rent it and it is available.
So, let’s have some discussion about this. Thoughts/comments/concerns???

So we had an offer from a club member (who will remain nameless for now) who said they would cover the rental fees for both days at Hickory Ridge. Any thoughts? If this location is gonna happen, we should likely move quickly as it does book up pretty quickly…
I have checked into the information for Memorial Park here in Owensville. The shelters are available for $35 / day and there is a $10 camping fee for being in the park overnight. All the shelters have electricity, some more than others. The elevation of most of the shelters is about 900′ asl. Only one shelter is currently reserved for the Saturday during Field Day and it’s the biggest one (we probably wouldn’t need that big one anyway!)
