N0NOE Today, April 5th, 2017, the 146.805 repeater was taken off the air for detailed analysis of the repeater and the duplexer. The repeater was tested for output power and the maximum that the radio would develop was just shy of 4.0 watts. This was confirmed through a second test with different test equipment. Testing of the duplexer showed that it is performing as it should within reasonable tolerances.
Prior to today, we had found a significant problem with the antenna system for the repeater. Combined with this newly found issue, the decision was made to take the machine offline until further notice.
