Sullivan Area Radio Club Meeting Minutes
The monthly meeting was called to order at 6:09 by President Bill Higgins with our Pledge of Allegiance, Prayer and Moment of Silence for Silent Keys.
We dispensed with the reading of the minutes from the previous meeting due to time constraints.
Treasurer’s Report:
Mark Ervine reported that our current bank balance is $714.34.
Repeater Committee report:
Karen Houston described the recent move of the repeater to a climate controlled area. A new antenna and coax have been installed. The results nearly double the range of the repeater. The committee will continue to work on minor areas that need tweaking.
Bill Higgins invited Karen Houston to officially join the Repeater Committee. She was super helpful in the repeater move and was much appreciated. A motion was made by Paul Barber to add her to the committee and was seconded by Tom Hobbs. Karen noted that she will gladly continue to help as needed but didn’t see the need to be official at this time. The motion was tabled.
Old Business:
Raffle tickets were discussed. We currently have four guns for raffle and need to get all tickets sold to raise money to pay for repeater work that has been completed. We will draw completed items later in meeting.
Prizes for Field Day were passed out to Bernard Hatcher and Patricia Gray for highest number of contacts for new members as mentioned at last meeting.
