On the morning of April 9th, 2021, a hearty crew of four world class hams descended upon the Sullivan Amateur Radio Club’s repeater site and set forth to install a new repeater. As customary, they waited to be sure it would be a rainy, windy day, because after all, does anyone do outdoor repeater work any other time? Despite the weather challenges, the crew was successful in their task of installing the club’s new repeater and controller. To all our amazement (and credit!) the machine actually worked as planned after the install. We hope the club is pleased with the work and efforts that were made by the crew to make this install happen. A big shout out goes to the team: John McReynolds (KC0NRO), Chris Westrick (KD0JVF), Mark Ervine (KF0AUP) and Bill Higgins (N0NOE).
A team is only as good as its members and especially only as good as its leadership. Thank you John, for that leadership!!
On a side note, the repeater seems to be working great. I personally want to thank everyone involved. You guys did a great job and put in many hours. Anyone who uses the repeater, whether you are a member or not, should congratulate these fine gentleman for their efforts and accomplishment.
